How sweet the sound of NBC's heartbeat!

There is truly nothing better for an expecting mom to hear then her baby's heart beating for the first time! I was almost in tears as the dr slowly ran the doppler over my tummy and you could hear the swooshing sound; pure amazement and joy filled my heart. I am so so thankful to have another baby on the way and to have a happy and healthy toddler that I get to watch grow up each and everyday! Tomorrow we go in for an ultrasound and should be able to get some good pics of the gummy bear:) The appointment went great today. I'm up 4-5 lbs, blood pressure is 112/60, and NBC's heartbeat was between 150-160 bpm!

*How crazy...both first doppler hearings were on the 28th! Jacob's heartbeat was 160 during this reading, it then dropped a little as he grew.


Things are busy around here as our house in St.L is in the closing process and we are getting ready to go on a mini-trip out to Loveland to do house things and spend time with family this coming week. Adam finally gets a mini break from work and I'm okay to fly, so we're getting out of town for a bit. It should be lots of fun seeing both sets of parents, Gina, Mark, and Aleah! I can't wait to watch Jr and Aleah play together:)

The Tike @ 15 months & Mommy @ 3 months

As I sit down to write this I can't believe yet another month has passed. I can't believe how fast time is flying bye. The Tike is talking, signing, learning everything, and is simply growing into a little boy right in front of Adam and I. What a blessing for us to watch everyday! We feel so blessed to have a happy and healthy little guy and another one on the way:)

The Tike @ 15 months:
-Had his 15 month check up. Got the MMR and flu shot.
-Weight: 29.4 lb (95 %)
-Height: 33.25 in (96 %)
-Head Circum: 19.5 in (96 %)
-Dr said he seems to be doing great and is most likely going to be a very big boy (surprise, surprise) :)
-Loves to walk backwards!
-Went to Daddy's work for the first time. Just wanted to run around the locker room and climb up the stairs.
-Had family visitors this past month! Keri and John came (along with some of their friends) for a long weekend and of course Daddy's game. Jr loved running around while Keri chased him. Uncle Bill, Bob, and Nancy came out this past weekend to tour the city, go to the Sunday night game, and of course see Jr! They had a great week visiting family and friends out here. Uncle Bill even taught Jr some new tricks!
-Uncle Bill taught Jr how to drink out of a straw and jump into the pool! 
-Hardly uses a sippy cup anymore; only uses cups with straws now or a regular cup.
-Is slowing learning how to use a spoon.
-Is very independent and doesn't like help with anything.
-Goes to timeout after 3 warnings, unless it's biting, hitting, or kicking (then he just goes to timeout right away). Timeout consist of him sitting in his high chair (it is only used for timeout situations now) facing the corner for a minute.
-Jr likes to make sure his teeth do what they're suppose to....Jr likes to bite (especially Mommy). This is not okay and he goes to timeout right away.
-Jr is getting good at helping Mommy getting himself undressed and dressed.
-Still don't know if he's a lefty or righty (probably won't know for awhile, closer to 2). Is definitely right foot dominate though. Anytime he kicks the ball it's always with his right foot.
-Is in almost all 2T clothes.
-Loves playing "Jr where did you go" game with Mommy. Mommy calls for Jr even when he's right in front of her; makes him laugh like crazy.
-Loves to sit and read his books and flash cards.
-Finally has a Halloween costume he'll wear next weekend! Mommy had bought one in hopes he'd wear it (super cute), however Jr didn't think it was so cute! Can't wait to take the Tike to a Halloween party and trick or treating the next evening.
-Went to the pumpkin patch with Mom, Dad, Bill, Bob, and Nancy. Uncle Bill took Jr down some big slides (used some sacks so they would go even faster), went on a hay ride, got to see/pet a lot of farm animals (chickens, cows, horses, pigs, goats, etc), milked a plastic cow, learned how to pump water, was fascinated feeding the pigs pumpkins, and simply had a blast the whole afternoon we were there! Cried when we had to leave; stayed from 12:30-3:00. Didn't even take an afternoon nap. As soon as he got a little food (and learned how to drink out of a straw at BW's compliments of Uncle Bill) he was ready to go again. So we went to the pool that evening. Wasn't quite sure at first about the pool, but once it all came back to him he didn't want to get out. Uncle Bill thought him how to jump into the pool to Daddy and once he learned this he did it over and over again. Once again, he cried when we had to leave. Finally after a bath, snack and quick ride home he was out for the night. What a day for the lil Tike.
-Still a 2 napper and great sleeper at night. Loves to have his snuggle pup and "Teddy" when he sleeps.
-Eats really well off the plate that's in front of him. In fact so well that he eats everything on it super fast (so then he can play with the plate or bowl).
-Stays with Spencer during Daddy's home games, so Mommy is kid free to watch the game. Also hangs out with Spencer Thursday morning while Mom goes to bible study and Friday afternoon when M&D go out for a "date."

Mommy @ 3 months pregnant with NBC:
-1 down, 2 to go! I can't believe I'm into my 2nd trimester!
-I feel so blessed to have another little one on the way; even though it's been a lil rough so far.
-I've been super exhausted and very nausea all day long, which makes fr some rough days.

Here's a quick little update on the major pregnancy points:
How far along? 12 weeks  
Total weight gain/loss: up a lb then down a lb, depends on the day
Maternity clothes? Yep, some shirts and soon to be some pants I'm sure. I'm definitely showing a lot earlier than I did with Jr.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: Is exactly what I need. It's the one thing that makes me feel better and since I'm exhausted it helps me to get some much needed rest.
Best moment this week: Enjoying having a little bump! I feel so incredibly blessed and fortunate to be pregnant again. What a blessing!
Movement: Just a couple more weeks and I should feel some movement.....yay!
Food cravings: All over the board. It's funny though, I might have a certain food craving but as soon as I eat it......it's not exactly what I was hoping for.
Gender: Don't know yet. We still haven't decided if we're going to find out or not. We've been throwing around some ideas if we do decide to find out, exactly how we would.
Labor Signs: No. 
Belly Button in or out? In. 
What I miss:
What I am looking forward to: I can't wait to go to my appointment on Thursday and hear NBC's heartbeat using the doppler! And then Friday we have an ultrasound to measure the baby and make sure everything is going great! I'm really excited just because I've seen the baby when it was just implanted, then at 6 wks (a lil pea with a heart beat), and then again at 7 wks (a lil bigger than the wk before and a faster beating heart). I'm also hoping that I get to feel a little better these next couple weeks and get some energy back, since I'm finally into my 2nd trimester! Woohoo!
Weekly Wisdom: Rest, relax, and enjoy being pregnant with another little one and enjoy every moment with my growing toddler!
Milestones: Making it through the first trimester! Yay!
